Unless you can afford to pay for the damages yourself, it will make a great benefit to purchase types of coverage like Collision, Comprehensive and Medical payments or personal injury protection. COLLISION will pay to replace or repair your car if it is damaged in an accident. While COMPREHENSIVE will insure your car against damage that is caused by something other than an auto accident like theft, flood, vandalism, fire, etc. MEDICAL PAYMENTS or personal injury protection coverage will cover your various medical expenses that is not covered by your health insurance or your passengers’. These types of coverage by the way are optional in most states.
